Victoria Monét is up next. She is that girl, but her red carpet style hasn’t impressed me much.
I’m hoping these pre-Grammy events are a dry run to her blowing our socks off for the main event, because I was underwhelmed by her Nicolas Jebran Couture look for the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy gala held at The Beverly Hilton on Saturday.
The coat was so heavy, overwhelming, and unnecessary for this event.
However, things drastically improved when she finally removed the coat.
Some might say that the look is still a bit dated, but I’m here for the glamour, and the silhouette.
Why she arrived with the coat when all this level of greatness was hiding underneath I will never understand.
Considering Victoria shares the same stylist as Cardi B, I’m probably holding her looks to a higher standard.
