Light blue Adidas are expected to take over in spring and summer 2024, and we’re not surprised. Vintage sneaker styles have been in for a while now—Adidas, specifically—so it’s no coincidence that a trend that’s jumped out in the last few weeks is really just a fresh twist on a look that’s already popular.

Like an ode to the incoming beautiful weather, light blue Adidas add a touch of brightness to even the coolest of outfits. But if you need visual proof, just look at the examples below.

Now, let’s discuss the trendiest models for spring-summer 2024, from Spezials to Campuses to the (now) iconic Gazelles.

#1 Adidas Handball Spezial

Let’s start with the Handball Spezial. Among the most popular sneakers of 2024, these shoes were created in the late 1970s with the goal of ensuring (as the name suggests) maximum performance for handball players. For spring, go for the soft sky-blue suede version; with a sole of dark brown natural rubber, it has a pleasantly retro aesthetic. Then as summer approaches, do a bigger color pop, like the neon blue with contrasting red details below.

#2 Adidas Gazelle

Since it’s among the most popular Adidas models, you can’t miss with the Gazelle. The first option below is a remake of the 1979 Gazelle Indoor, with a textured suede upper in a bright blue that contrasts with a white leather finish in the strips and heel tab. Alternatively, there’s a deep blue version with matte black leather details (and laces).

#3 Adidas Campus ’00 and SL 72RS

The Adidas Campus ’00 are the real new entry of the season, with a chunky design that revisits the iconic elements of the ’80s model that was inspired by skateboarding. If you prefer vintage sneakers with a sleeker silhouette, opt for the Adidas SL 72RS. This is a true archival shoe, featuring a suede and fabric upper with contrasting details in white as well as a small pop of red along the sole.

#4 Adidas VL Court

For the minimalist, we have the Adidas VL Court 2.0, also known as the legendary T-toe shoes, in a delicate pastel blue. This suede version features a preformed rubber sole and classic stripes in white. Or there’s the 3.0 version of the VL Court, which has a slightly chunkier design and a contrasting logo detail on the side.
