Fantasia Barrino Wore Mônot To The 2024 NAACP Image Awards

Fantasia Barrino took home the Best Actress Award for her role in ‘The Color Purple’ from the 2024 NAACP Image Awards on Saturday.

The actress wore a custom white gown featuring a large black sequin bow which you may be surprised to learn was from Mônot.

It appears that the label might be trying to rebrand, or at the very least become less predictable, as this is the third red carpet look that doesn’t feature their famed cut-outs.

I have a feeling that some won’t be sold on the black gloves and the bow.

I would have been on that train – especially with the gloves – but considering the fact that Fantasia has worn all-white to the 2024 Critics’ Choice Awards and ‘The Color Purple’ London screening, I was happy to see the contrast on this occasion to prevent a feeling of déjà vu.

I do wish Fantasia had kept the black-and-white party going throughout, so I’m not sold on the Judith Leiber silver bag.

Black Le Silla pumps completed her look.
