Zendaya

While everyone else is doing Disney princess, Zendaya is doing evil queen. Which, based on her Challengers character, seems kind of appropriate. For the grand finale of her Challengers press tour, Zendaya attended the film’s Los Angeles premiere on April 16 in a custom Vera Wang ballgown, striking an appropriately dramatic note.

The dress has a lacy, corseted black bodice with spaghetti straps, leading to her overwhelming ballet pink skirt, complete with long train and a peek of black tulle at the center. With so much going on with the dress, Zendaya was able to keep the rest of the look as minimal as possible. The actor wore next to no jewelry, barely-there makeup, and styled her hair in a wispy topknot reminiscent of a ballerina at rehearsal.

The everything-ness going on with this dress is a far cry from the cheeky, tennis-inspired looks she wore on her earlier press tour stops. Across the pond, Zendaya’s outfits all stayed strictly on theme, including, but not limited to: A Loewe dress with athletic mesh and tennis racket embroidery; stilettos with tennis balls on the heels; custom Lacoste; and a green gown embellished with an image of a tennis player’s shadow so as to look like a literal tennis court.

But now that the tour is over, it looks like Z is officially done with tennis.
