Zendaya’s promo tour had been very consistent, some might say repetitive, but it was a formula that was working.
I had been waiting for Zendaya to get back stateside, where I had a feeling that the all-white theme would change, as it appeared to be Europe specific considering its proximity to Wimbledon.
I was expecting to be wowed by her LA premiere look, and I was, but this custom Vera Wang gown didn’t work for me from the waist down.
I appreciate that Zendaya wanted to go big as this is her first time being a leading lady, and in that respect Vera delivered.
But I’m looking at the design and questioning the decision to have the black tulle spilling out of pink silk skirt as it completely ruined the fluidity of the gown for me.
I know some of you aren’t fans of Vera Wang’s designs, so it will come as no surprise to you that she overcooked this creation.
Despite all that, Zendaya showcases her power as a red carpet veteran because she looks absolutely beautiful, as always.
I will guess that her favourite Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps are hidden beneath that skirt, but the look was styled with a Bulgari High Jewelry diamond ring which she paired with diamond stud earrings.
‘Challengers’ will be released in cinemas internationally from April 24.
