Simone Biles and Mykayla Skinner, her former Olympic gymnastics teammate, clearly don’t see eye-to-eye on this year’s gymnastics Olympians. After Skinner, in a since-deleted YouTube video, said the 2024 gymnasts just weren’t as hard-working and talented as they used to be, Biles seemed to respond in a cheeky Instagram caption celebrating the team’s gold medal win.

In her video, Skinner said, “Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be.” She continued, per People, “I mean, obviously a lot of girls don’t work as hard. The girls just don’t have the work ethic.”

So when the women won the gold at the Paris Olympics on July 30, Biles celebrated on her Instagram, with the caption, “Lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions ❤️🥇🇺🇸.”

And Biles isn’t the only one hitting back. Another former Olympic gymnast, McKayla Maroney, commented on Biles’s post, “It doesn’t get more iconic than this.. She f’d around n found out fr.” Maroney concluded, “Feels like I need to apologize just to redeem my first name.” Someone call the burn unit.
