Unlike Isabelle Fuhrman, who delivered a fresh and clean slate for the ‘Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2’ Venice Film Festival premiere, Sienna Miller opted for a more familiar approach, sticking with Chloé.
After her stunning vintage Armani look, I had high hopes for her next appearance, but this Chloé Fall 2024 lace dress left me feeling disappointed—though, as the saying goes, “disappointed, but not surprised.”
If you’re a fan of Sienna’s iconic style from the 2000s, you might have appreciated the nostalgic nod to her signature boho aesthetic. Her beachy, tousled waves and the romantic lace dress certainly had that classic, carefree, Sienna energy. The dress itself was quintessentially boho, with flowing lines and delicate lace that evoked a dreamy, laid-back vibe.
But for me, the overall look fell short. And the main culprits? The boots and the belt.
Boho style has always been about effortless chic—a natural, free-spirited look. But this outfit felt anything but effortless. The belt, in particular, threw the balance off. It made the whole ensemble seem overly styled and contrived, a far cry from the relaxed vibe that boho is all about. Boho isn’t supposed to look like you’re trying too hard, but the belt did exactly that. It didn’t flow with the dress; instead, it felt like an awkward accessory that didn’t belong.
And then there were the boots. While not offensive on their own, they felt out of place paired with this white dress for an end of summer premiere. Sienna has pulled off a similar style before at the Met Gala, so this look also lacked freshness. It came off as a recycled idea, and not in Cate Blanchett’s “exciting new take” approach.
Had she skipped the belt and opted for a different pair of shoes, the look might have stayed true to her boho roots. Instead, it ended up a nostalgic nod that just didn’t land.
She should have saved this for Glastonbury.
