At the San Sebastian Film Festival, Tilda Swinton made another striking appearance, this time for the photocall of ‘The Room Next Door’ held at the Kursaal Palace in Spain on Thursday, where the actress wore a second look from the soon-to-be relaunched label, Delpozo.
While I love the beautiful shades of pink, the execution leaves much to be desired.
My concerns with this look mirror those from her Delpozo ensemble at the Venice Film Festival: the construction and fit simply don’t do justice to either the actress or the legacy of the brand. Given Delpozo’s previous reputation for precise tailoring and ethereal design, the lack of attention is concerning.
After the first misstep in Venice, I had hoped the brand would tweak its approach for Tilda’s next outing. Instead, it feels as though the same errors have been repeated, leaving us to wonder about the direction Delpozo is headed in as it reintroduces itself to the fashion world.
Is the new creative team aiming for a new fit, or is this just a teething issue as they refine their aesthetic?
Tilda, as always, brings her own distinct flair to everything she wears, but even her commanding presence can’t mask the miscalculations in design. Time will tell if Delpozo finds its footing again, but for now, the brand’s potential revival feels a bit shaky.
