It’s easy to get bogged down with daily life and forget about what makes us tick, but Wella Professionals Creative Nights is about sparking and reigniting that creative passion. Wella Professionals Senior Education Director Carole Protat said it best when she said, “Creative Nights is all about you and bringing back the inner creativity that we all have in us. That innocence, the creative nerve we have in us, we want to be a playground for creators.”
Wella Creative Nights 2024
Bringing artists together to become inspired not just about doing hair, but bringing creativity into all aspects of their life — from painting to drawing or simply doodling — the goal was to help you find a creative balance within your life. This event, which was the 3rd iteration, brought a glowing perspective to what it means to be creative. Chatting with NA VP & Chief Marketing Officer Lori Pantel, this event was made to be a playground to chat about everything going on in the industry — from what’s happening with stylists to what’s happening with their creativity. She notes that in recent years, a lot of the fun has been taken out of hairdressing and their main goal is to put that magic back into it by inspiring stylists to find their creativity.
Presenting their own interpretations, Wella Ambassador James Earnshaw @jhair_stylist and Wella/Sebastian Artist Omar Antonio @omarantoniosebastian styled on stage and created avant garde creations that bridge together the hair, fashion and creative process.
James brings with him stunning color and his interpretation of the Golden Hour movement, which he says brings together shades that range from blonde to brunette, pastel and vibrant. He see’s the Golden Hour trend as an opportunity not only to create the shades seen during a sunset, but to interpret color based on how light bounces off surfaces during that time frame — making the options nearly endless and perpetually glowy.
Omar shows us his creative approach by bridging the gap between fashion and hair quite literally. Using hair as an art form, his creations are an eye opening reminder of taking your creativity beyond the chair. Creating new textures and fabrics, he’s created dresses from strands of hair to deliver avant-garde masterpieces that truly inspire and reiterate the goal of finding inspiration outside of your industry.
Many of the takeaways from the event centered around finding your creativity but also delivering new customized services to clients. Salon appointments aren’t just about a cut or a color, it’s the entire goal of creating a one-of-a-kind experience. With that, delivering quality styles and then unlocking the secret to keep it up at home is paramount. This is where Wella Professionals ULTIMATE REPAIR steps in.
