It’s official, folks. Kim Kardashian has gotten a bob, thus clinching the style as the haircut of the moment. Kardashian has never been afraid to mix up her look, obviously, but one thing she rarely changes is her long hair. So, if Kim K has gotten on board, we can take that to mean that the Bob Train has officially left the station.
The Skims founder revealed her new ‘do—a blunt, chin-length bob—on her Instagram Stories on July 27. In a series of selfie videos taken in bed, Kardashian poses and runs her hands through her newly chopped locks. “I wanted to show you guys my new hair,” she says.

We’ve seen several takes on the bob haircut lately. Hailey Bieber has been working with a messy, cool girl bob since January. Zendaya and Aubrey Plaza, meanwhile, have both rocked more voluminous, supermodel-inspired bobs. Kardashian’s blunt cut could be categorized as the currently trending “Italian bob,” which is characterized for its airiness and styling ease. Stars like Rachel Zegler and Simona Tabasco from The White Lotus are also fans of this casually chic style, as is, importantly, Kourtney Kardashian.
Is this more evidence that Kim Kardashian really is copying her sister’s “dolce vita lifestyle?” Maybe. Or maybe her neck was just hot.
