In-laws Kate Middleton and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, always have plenty to smile about (they are literally royalty). But on July 5, they got one more reason: Country Life magazine published its 125th anniversary cover, photographed by Kate and starring Camilla.

Camilla, who is also celebrating her 75th birthday later this month, personally requested Kate to snap her photo for the issue, which she also guest-edited. (See the cover here.)

“I’d quite like Catherine to do it,” she reportedly told Country Life editor Mark Hedges, per People. Hedges “spent the next three or four minutes desperately racking my brains trying to think of a professional photographer called Catherine,” before realizing to whom Camilla was referring.

“I found it one of the easier things to nod my head at,” he said.

Because everything is meta in the age of Instagram, another photographer captured Kate capturing Camilla, which Clarence House shared to its feed. In the image, Kate Middleton wears jeans, white sneakers, and a salmon-colored jacket while standing in the grassy backyard of Camilla’s Wiltshire, Raymill, home.

Photography has a special place in Kate’s heart. She often shoots her children for their official birthday portraits, and has worked on several photography books and other projects. According to People, her love of the art was sparked by her paternal grandfather, Peter Middleton, when she was just a child.

Country Life’s anniversary issue is available July 13.
