‘Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me,’ a documentary following the singer, actress and producer on a six-year long journey as she handles the pressures of fame while facing struggles with lupus, depression, and anxiety, premiered during the 2022 AFI Fest on Wednesday (November 2) in LA.
Selena is one of the biggest celebrities in the world, and with that comes a huge spotlight.
I always want the style to live up to the magnitude of the woman, but Selena doesn’t strike me as someone who lives for fashion in a way that a Jurnee Smollett or a Maude Apatow does.
And that’s ok, she doesn’t have or need to, which is why I can look at her in this Rodarte bow-detailed silk satin one-shoulder dress and appreciate it for what it is.
A nice dress with a beautiful jewel tone which looks gorgeous against her skin.
Do I want more style wise? Yes. Of course.
But the more I observe her red carpet style, I think it is set up to appeal to an older demographic.
