Just when we were starting to believe that the ‘Citadel’ London premiere might have been a bit of a fluke, Priyanka Chopra proved us all wrong when she stepped onto the red carpet in New York on Wednesday (May 3) for the ‘Love Again’ screening held at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater.

And you know what?  I’m delighted to be proved wrong, yet proved right when I say that classic elegance will always work well for the actress.

Priyanka wore a Harris Reed for Nina Ricci babe blue strapless design which some of you might love more than the Vivienne Westwood gown.

However, I’m choosing to let them stand alone, as this gown was oozing with romance which we expect from a rom-com.

She could’ve done a JLo and gave us a pink princess tulle gown that was too twee and overwrought, but this was ultra feminine without a hint of Disney.

Harris Reed said on Instagram, “I could not imagine a more perfect woman to wear this gown.”

I couldn’t agree more.

They then went on to say, “Fun fact- the entire construction, corset, bustier, skirt and bow are all crafted out of french bleached denim and all of my “couture” denim pieces were the global top sellers in this past collection for Nina. The joke is, when I got the job at Nina my bosses asked me how I would make denim my own…. I hope I didn’t disappoint.”

They didn’t, and I’m surprised to learn that this gown was made from denim.  But that explains how it was able to maintain its structure.

I’m just glad no taffeta was involved.

Simple makeup which highlighted her natural beauty and Bulgari jewels completed her look.

Was this a personal best for Priyanka?
