I said it yesterday, and I will say it again. Haute Couture Fashion Week has had a positive effect on Jennifer Lopez’s style and I’m so excited about it.
When I saw her on the red carpet for the One&Only One Za’abeel grand opening this evening in Dubai wearing a Giambattista Valli Fall 2023 Haute Couture gown, I said this is the JLo I know and love.
Granted, I am partial to a Jenny from the Block moment, but a lot of us have been waiting for her style to evolve.
This GBV black gown accented with an oversized bow skirt which was styled with a long sleeve collared cape, is the upscale glamour I personally have been waiting for.
Black gowns don’t usually move me, but I much prefer this over her Nicole + Felicia Couture Golden Globe Awards gown.
JLo’s Elie Saab Haute Couture gown is still her best look of the year so far.
Hopefully this is just the start of her Haute Couture era.
I choosing to ignore the shoes.
