Dakota Johnson’s appearance at the ‘Daddio’ premiere during the 2024 Tribeca Festival in New York City was a rare misstep in her usually stellar partnership with Gucci.
The sheer blue Gucci Fall 2024 dress lacked the allure and sophistication that typically characterises her red carpet looks.
And despite the attempt to modify the dress to temper its sheerness, the result was still underwhelming.
My first thought was that this dress felt more like a slip meant to be worn underneath another garment rather than a standout piece on its own, as this was more like an afterthought than a carefully curated look.
And this is coming from someone who isn’t anti-sheer dresses, but this one didn’t hit the mark as it lacked the elements needed to make it a striking fashion statement.
