Lana Del Rey received the Special International Award at The Ivors 2024, an event that celebrates creative excellence by UK and Irish songwriters and screen composers, held at Grosvenor House in London on Thursday.
Known for her dreamy aura that resonates through her songwriting, Lana’s style has traditionally reflected a nostalgic charm.
She has cycled through fashion inspired by different decades: demure ’60s dresses, ’70s style sweaters and skinny jeans, and authentic ’80s looks with her hair in vintage styles like beehives, long ’40s waves, or middle-parted ’70s straight styles.
However, Lana’s outfit choice for The Ivors deviated from her usual style.
She wore a black knit top and a striped skirt from the Chanel Resort 2023 collection, a departure from her characteristic vintage-inspired looks.
Given Chanel’s penchant for printed maxi dresses, her selection of this particular outfit was unexpected.
This change in style raises the question: is Lana about to embark on a new fashion journey?
