Yara Shahidi made a guest appearance on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna to promote her new podcast, ‘The Optimist Project,’ which she co-hosts with her mum. The podcast dives into motivational stories and explores what drives people behind the scenes. During the chat, Yara also opened up about the mentorship she’s received over the years, including guidance from some incredible figures like Michelle Obama, Oprah, and Kerry Washington.
For the appearance, Yara wore a Ferragamo Resort 2025 look featuring the Gancio monogram belted jacquard blouson paired with tailored trousers. The pieces are effortlessly chic, but you might be feel a little déjà vu here. Letitia Wright wore the same look last month at the ‘Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot’ London screening. While it seems like they wore different colors, I suspect it’s more of a lighting effect than a shift in the actual hue.
Now, I’ve always found it a bit odd when celebrities wear out-of-season pieces, but in this case, Yara proves that you can totally make a transitional look work. Everything about this outfit, from the colour palette to the structure of the blouson, made it completely season-appropriate.
She finished the look with a pair of black Ferragamo pumps, adding just the right amount of polish to this sleek, modern ensemble.
For a daytime talk show appearance, this look balances comfort and sophistication effortlessly. Yara shows once again why she’s always one to watch.
